Meditation for Kids During Times of Uncertainty: Why It's Important to Slow Down
As we go into yet another month of social restrictions and uncertainties, it becomes more and more clear that we need to do our best to take care of our mental health. It is hard enough dealing with the stress of this pandemic as an adult, just imagine how confused children are at this time. As their caretakers and teachers it is important we create a safe place for them to share their thoughts and feelings while also offering them mindful practices that will develop into healthy habits and help guide them through their daily lives now and into the future!
These mindful practices could be as simple as stopping and taking a few deep breaths in between activities/homework assignments or it could be signing your child up for a yoga class catered to their age group! Either way you would be amazed at how starting at only 5 minutes a day of slowing down and breathing slowly can help their overall health and well being!

At this time many adults are struggling to balance hectic schedules of work, helping their kids’ with online classes, and worrying about what summer activities and childcare will look like.
